TAKING CARE OF OUR BABIES

Manatee012.jpg

Due to their fragile nature and strict diet, it is very difficult to care for these orphans. They are often sick and malnourished when they come to our rescue center, and unfortunately, not all of them survive.

Here you see one of our volunteers hand-feeding a baby manatee. The babies are fed with a special milk that is flown in from a similar project in Florida. Without this milk, the babies would have no chance of survival.
