EDUCATION

Manatee013.jpg

Apart from trying to save the orphans that were victims of poaching or boating accidents, the best way to ensure the Amazon manatee’s survival is by educating the locals. That is why  ACOBIA-DWAzoo has an extensive education program, especially targeting children.  Not only do they visit the  ACOBIA-DWAzoo rescue center, we also visit them in their villages throughout the Amazon basin, in order to raise awareness and educate them about the urgency of the situation. The educational program is funded entirely with voluntary donations from private supporters.
